With school holidays around the corner, Sydney-based organisation Kids Giving Back hopes to give children from ages six to 18 a chance to put their free time to good use across various charities.

Carole Schlessinger, co-director of Kids Giving Back, has told Sky News the organisation’s mission is to create the ‘next generation of generosity’, providing opportunities early in life so kids might become socially responsible adults.

Ms Schlessinger says the program introduces kids to facets of life that they may otherwise miss when they’re young, such as interacting with the elderly or the homeless.
